Interfacing Realities is a series of four master classes that V2_ realizes within the European Culture 2000 program. Related to the master classes is an
art project using high bandwidth that will be presented during DEAF03. Interfacing Realities is a cooperation with EncArt (European Network for Cyber
Arts). The partners are the ZKM in Karlsruhe, C3 in Budapest and AEC in Linz.
Each master class will take - five days and will have its own 'master', location and focus on the theme:

at C3, Budapest (HU),

The master classes deal with the use of databases and archives by artists, to which each master class has a specific approach (image, music, interactivity
and interdisciplinarity). During the master classes knowledge and experience will be exchanged through case studies and presentations of examplary
research projects or art projects. Designers, developers, architects, students and artists will discuss and work together with the master class leader on
assignments, projects, concepts and small implementations around the theme. Each master class has a theoretical and a practical part.
A publication will be written about the general theme of these master classes containing essays by the master class leaders, the assignments and case
studies. This publication will be available from May 2003.
For each master class a maximum of ten participants can subscribe. In principle one can apply for all master classes. The costs for lodging and traveling
will be payed by the participants itself.
Participants’ fee: 200 € (100 € for students).
The level of the master classes is attuned to professional artists, people from business organizations and postgraduates.
