The bilingual catalogue of the exhibition entitled Vision – Image and Perception, presented in the Műcsarnok / Kunsthalle Budapest in 2002, in accordance with the conception of the exhibition, does not draw a distinct line between the classic and contemporary works of art, and the pictures and objects produced toward a scientific goal, as an integral part of visual cultural history or optical and neurobiological research. The volume illustrating many approaches to the visual process, comprising nearly one hundred colour reproductions, is opened with the essays of Miklós Peternák, Gyula Kovács and Zoltán Vidnyánszky, as well as Ernő Marosi. |
