C³ is an open, not for profit NGO, established in 1999 as a space for innovative experiments and developments related to communication, culture and open society. It organises exhibitions of media art, conferences, as well as the annual <19 Freestyle Computing Competition for children under 19. It publishes the online journal exindex, runs the mailing list artinfo and is has been the maintainer of the majority of the websites of the cultural initiatives in the past 10 years. Its collection is ever-growing and it is constantly being published online (http://catalog.c3.hu/). To be able to pursue our activities, we need your support. Our supporters and partners receive regular reminders about our events, they can pick from the C3 publications list, and specifically for our priority partners, we organise an annual personal meet-up.

Selection of projects your contribution will support

<19 Freestyle Computing Competition
Since 2003, C3 Center for Culture & Communication Foundation organizes an annual creative, “freestyle” computer competition, the <19 Freestyle Computing Competition for the young generation (under 19), resulting in a weekend of workshops, an award ceremony as well as an exhibition. Contestants can send in their works usually by the end of October and the jury’s selection is revealed at the final event in December. The competition aims at encouraging the creative use of new technologies as well as providing participants with a platform to present their achievements and means to develop their projects further.

Media Art
Works based on the constantly changing world of technical media (photograph, film, video, computers) deals with fragile works. Their preservation requires regular attention and care. In our Budapest office we not only store but also digitalise, research, publish, present, catalogue and work with these materials.

Terms & Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ONE-OFF AND REGULAR DONATIONS TO C3 CENTER FOR CULTURE & COMMUNICATION FOUNDATION

1. Introduction

1.1. C3 Center for Culture & Communication Foundation (short: C3 Foundation; address: 1022 Budapest, Hermina út 22, tax number: 18097168-1-42, EU Taxpayer Identification Number: HU 18097168, represented by: Dora Maurer board president) as the ’NGO’ is supported by the ’Donor’ through the act of selecting a donation option on the http://www.c3.hu/support/ website and clicking on the option. The Donor confirms that he has the right to transfer the ’Donation’ as it is his personal asset.

1.2. The aim on the Donor is supporting the long-term operation of the NGO.

1.3. The NGO created and maintains a website with the aim of presenting donation options detailed in 3.5. (http://www.c3.hu/support/)

1.4. The maintainer of the website and the NGO takes responsibility of its functioning.

2. The agreement

2.1. The agreement is made once the Donor selected and confirmed a donation option on the NGO website.

2.2. By clicking on one of the options, the Donor expresses his/her wish to financially support to the NGO.

2.3. Once the donation option is selected, terms & conditions are accepted and the NGO is notified the agreement stands without any further actions needed.

3. Content of the agreement

3.1. The aim of the donation is to support the functioning of the NGO.

3.2. Donation options
The NGO can be supported by a chosen amount, based on a one-off or regular paying scheme.

3.2.1. The ’First Aid’ option means a donation of 5000Ft or 16 €, at least once a year. In exchange for that, the NGO will thank the donation according to 4.3.

3.2.2. The ’Supporter’ options means a donation of 10000Ft or 32 €, at least once a year. In exchange for that, the NGO will thank the donation according to 4.4.

3.2.3. . The ’Partner’ option means a donation of 1250Ft or 4 € per month or a one-off donation of 15.000 Ft. In exchange for that, the NGO will thank the donation according to 4.5.

3.2.4. The ’Patron’ option means 2500 Ft ~ 8 € /month or a one-off donation of 30.000 Ft. In exchange for that, the NGO will thank the donation according to 4.6.

3.2.5. The Donor has the possibility of choosing an other option, and determining the amount and frequence of the donation themself. In this case, the NGO prepares a specal agreement. Contact: support@c3.hu

3.4. Donation process

3.4.1. To become a Donor and a subject of this agreement, the following steps must be completed: the Donor chooses one of the option listed on the website and under 3.2, accepts the Terms & Conditions and through one of the payment options listed under 3.5.1. completes the trasnfer.

3.4.2. In the case the Donor wishes to make another donation, the steps have to be repeated.

3.5. Payment

3.5.1. Donations can be made using the services of PayPal.

3.5.2. Donations can be made through the use of a credit/debit card.

3.5.3 Donations can be done through bank transfer.

4. The Donor’s compensation

4.1. The NGO will thank the Donor for a donation for a period of one year according to the following.

4.2. The compensation is not financial, invoices can not be made. They serve the purpose of providing information for the Donor.

4.3. In the case of the ’First Aid’ option, the NGO will send a monthly newsletter, reporting about their activities. The Donor will be invited to all C3 events (exhibitions, conferences, other) via email.

4.4. In the case of the ’Supporter’ option the NGO will send a regular newsletter, reporting about their activities. The Donor will be invited to all C3 events (exhibitions, conferences, other) via email. The Donor can also pick one item from the C3 publications (postage costs may apply). 4.5. In the case of the ’Partner’ option the NGO will send a regular newsletter, reporting about their activities. The Donor will be invited to all C3 events (exhibitions, conferences, other) via email. The Donor can also pick one item from the C3 publications and will be put on the guest list for our events (exhibitions, conferences, other).

4.6. In the case of the ’Patron’ option the NGO will send a regular newsletter, reporting about their activities. The Donor will be invited to all C3 events (exhibitions, conferences, other) via email. The Donor can also pick one item from the C3 publications and will be put on the guest list for our events (exhibitions, conferences, other) and receive detailed documentation (on request). The above listed benefits will be complemented with invitations to visit our office and possibilities of a personal meeting during our closed events.

5. Following up on the donation

The NGO publishes a transparent financial documentation in Hungarian every year. If the Donor wishes to follow up on the donation, he/she can make a request through e-mail.

6. Data Protection

C3 Center for Culture & Communication Foundation processes personal data strictly according to the statutory requirements set by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). After accepting this agreement, the NGO is required to handle the date given by the Donor according to law. The NGO does not disclose the collected data to any third party.

Regarding the processing of your data, the Donor has the right to: information, correction, deletion, restriction, data transferability, revocation, and objection. If the Donor wishes to exercise any of these rights , he/she may contact the NGO through e-mail at any time.

7. The expiry of the agreement

7.1. The agreement expires once it is completed

7.2. The parties agree that the donation can be contested only after one party goes against this agreement.

7.3. Going against the agreement would be using the donation for other purposes than supporting the functioning of the NGO for example.
