- for sirens.

Short note on how (un-)wittingly browserbased.org joined another queue of artists, this time, the one pining after air raid sirens.

Last summer, Joubin Zargarbashi, Konstantina Mavridou and me got electrified by a miscalculation of how gradual the dutch transition would be from sirens to a dominantly GSM based system, nl-alert. We got lured on by the chance for an optimistic swansong of the sirens. As it went, talking to Jasna Velickovic, we decided that an overexcited midi version of What a Wonderful World (by Louis Armstrong) to be our starting point.

Yet, the transition will be slow, we came to learn, and the siren tests will resound, for an undefined period, monthly. And so by the end of summer, the project came to halt leaving behind only some technical and other aspects detailed on discord.
