The Knstlerhaus Schloá Balmoral, Bad Ems, an institution of the Foundation for Culture in Rheinland-Pfalz, is announcing 8 fellowships for 2002.
Balmoral is a place of artistic production, theoretical reflection and social and artistic contact. The Knstlerhaus also has the objective of reaching the public through events such as lectures, seminars, concerts and exhibitions.
Bad Ems is a spa town of 15.000 inhabitants. It lies on the Lahn some 18 kilometers south-east of Koblenz and is connected by motorway to Frankfurt and Cologne.
The grant is of 2.000 DM per month. The residential fellowship is generally allocated for 11 months, starting by January 15th and ending by December 15th, 2002. The Knstlerhaus provides a bedsitting room with shower/WC and a studio fro each visual artist, as well as workshops, a photography laboratory, a library and PCs.
