Text:: - Extension of the Culture 2000 framework programme On 16 April, the European Commission approved a proposal for a Decision of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Decision No. 508/2000/EC of 14 February 2000 establishing the Culture 2000 programme. This text provides for the programme to be extended in the same form for the years 2005 and 2006. - Future cultural programme On 14 April, the European Commission launched a new phase of consultation with a view to preparing a future cultural programme that will eventually replace the Culture 2000 programme. This consultation will continue until 10 July 2003.
