I have marked the priorities with *. in GENERAL - Open access except - members area - support the CEE + Scandinavian characters - admin option to upload images & create new pages *SEARCH entire site = always present on the top and (?) advanced search options within the sections *NEW SUBTITLE: the ultimate source on art from central & eastern europe, and beyond by SECTIONS: *Editorial Content: Highlights, campaigns, PR support for other network activities Frequency: Occasional Display: As it is + hidden if nothing to say. Archive: by date. Search: / *Calendar of Events Content: Announcements of events (exhibitions, conferences, presentations, workshops, festivals, symposia etc. - no calls fo proposals) produced or recommended by members (1st hand) or copied from other available sources (2nd hand). Images: yes - optional, small (no enlargment option) Frequency: Regular, at least weekly. Display: As it is now only less items on the home page: 4 instead of 6; descending by starting date (latest date on the top). Archive & Search: - by date, by key word, by country, by type of event. - more flexible handling, moving through the calendar *Top News (should split into two sections of the same rank: 'Top News' and 'Opportunities') Content: News from the lives of institutions and individuals etc. Images: optional, small Frequency: Regular, weekly at most. Display: As it is now only less on the home page: 2 instead of 4. Archive & Search: by date (there should be an expiry date that item is automatically removed from the home page) *Opportunities Content: Calls for proposals, Funding opportunities, sources... Frequency: Regular, weekly at most. Display: As Top News section: 2 on the home page. In the Opportunities section the still valid items should display on the top, others in the archive part. Archive & Search: by organizer (there should be an expiry date = deadline that item is automatically removed from the home page & archived) *Artwork of the Month Content: Artwork (object, action, event, website, process...) as recommended by editor, the committee or members. Text by the artist + links. Images: yes + option for enlarged image or more images in a separate file. Frequency: Monthly Display: As it is (home page) + gallery. Archive: Archive (by year, by artist) = gallery Available Publications Content: Data on publications (books, catalogues, periodicals, artists' books, cdroms...) in english - published or recommended by members. Info includes description, ISBN, contact details for further inquiries and purchase. Images: yes, small covers (Amazon.com) Frequency: Occasionaly Display: As it is + Not more than 3 on the home page. ISBN should be optional + possible to be replaced by ISSN number. Archive & Search: by country, by key words, by the print year (and not the entire print date as it is now!). *Members Area Content: Archived Discussion lists, PR texts, Memos, Statutes and other common documents... Display: by the above chapters, then by date. On the MENU column it should be on the bottom. *i_CAN Reader Content: Texts (theory, criticism, essays) written, published or recommended by members. Divided in CHAPTERS. Images: option to include them within the texts (small). Frequency: Regular, at least monthly. Display: As it is now but not more than 3 on the home page. The date displayed should be the date of its origin and not the date it was published on the site. Within the section grouped in chapters (to be invented) + each text needs Print option. Archive & Search: by country, by author, by key word, by the year of origin People and Organizations Content: List of members with contact info + links. Display: As it is *Note: Admin. should be able to remove or add new members. Projects Not needed for now. Let's reserve some hidden section for future occurrences. Discussions Content: Moderated forums. (If prepared and launched) Frequency: Occasional. Display: Hidden - for now. Archive: of the past forums. *Destination Spotlight (merges with Top Websites!) Content: Data base of links (categories: organizations, resources, projects, artists…). Frequency: To be built from a scratch. Display: by country (let's remake the geo-map from Top Websites section!) Search: by key word, category. *Top Websites (merges with Destination Spotlight) Who we are Content: network's intro, background, mission, membership policy, contact Display: As it is (chapters linked with anchors) Contact us Content: list of functionaires and staff. Links to e-mails. *Display: No email form!
