HIDEG János 1963-ban született Budapesten. Egyetemi tanulmányait Szegeden, Budapesten, New Jerseyben és az angliai Norwichban végezte. Mûfordító, filmkritikus. Kötetben megjelent fordításai Woody Allen: A szendvics feltalálása (1992); John Lennon: A kövér dudor Eric Hearble fején (1994); Kishont Ferenc: A tengeribeteg bálna (1996).
HIDEG János was born in 1963 in Budapest. He gained a degree in English and Hungarian at ELTE, Budapest, in 1988. He studied English at Rutgers University, New Jersey, and earned an M.A. in Literary Translation at the University of East Anglia in 1996. He works as a translator and film critic. His translations into Hungarian include a collection of short stories by Woody Allen (1992);
John Lennon´s In His Own Write (1993);
and The Seasick Whale by Ephraim Kishon (1996).
