A multimedia dance performance for two people on stage, one dancer and a live partner, with slide, film, video and computer graphics projections, lights, original composed music, special effects, moving scenography and computer synchronisation. Duration: 60 minutes
A lonely man in a big city, both an incredible crushing mechanism and a dreaming machine for the human beings.
A world where every moment of repose is a journey on the other side of the mirror.
The making of IO hold several challenges:
Creating a dialogue between the artist and the technician.
Making the body and the technology merge in a multitude of ways without suppressing the one, and without enslaving the other in its mere illustration.
Giving technology the possibility to become the mark and the echo of human beings, amplifying the emotion of dance.
Enhancing the use of new technologies for image, light and music processing applied to live performance.
So that brightening of imagination might be provided with these new tools
So that imaginary cities might take shape in the mind and heart of the audience.
So that we might try to answer this fundamental question to us: what possible future for the body in this unavoidable technological world?
