Majoros Gyula - fine artist

He was born in 1961 in Németkér and has been living in Kecskemét with his family for thirteen years. From 1986 to 1995 he was a puppet making artist for Ciróka Puppet Theatre. He still designs puppets and works as a decorative artist.

Between 1988 and 1991 he was member of the Studio of Young Designers.

In 1990 he was a founding member of Úzgin Űver world music band.

Between 1990 and 1997 he was member of the Young Artists' Studio.

In 1997 he was appointed as honorary member o f the Union of the Young Visual Artists' Studio.

In 1997 he joined, as a sculptor, the Union of Hungarian Creative Artists.

From 1999 he is a member of MAMÜ.

"My works are experiments of material and shape to which I use natural materials (wood, iron, felt, hand-made paper, found objects). I look for such intellectual and material connecting points and surfaces on my works which give me a chance to further build them, and therefore these points and surfaces demonstrate the whole conception in its development."
