EVERYMAN IN PURGATEATRIUM
"I am everyman!"… "I am somebody!"… "I am everybody!"… and then Everyman shall go down to Purgateatrium…
"Hey, you, people! Come with me to the famous Purgateatrium! Here you may see the Giant - Puppet, who let Everyman play, who keeps Everyman under restrain.
You may well see our everyday hero meeting himself, who can fear, cry, laugh, suffer, love.. fight … show off …
who wins over Devil and Death."
The performance is a one-man show about life and death. The actor performs with his own puppet. Their friendship helps them win over Death, who rules everything on this Earth. Performance style: "Street morality"
The play aims to recall the atmosphere of traditional street or market puppetry, but in a freer, more modern way. The play is without words, the actor uses tongue whistle. The story is easily understood with the help of pictures, music and acting.
Important element of the play is the Giant-Puppet-Death, "who" is also the stage, in which the whole story is played.
