Mystic, ritual dance performance about the creation of the Sun and the Moon, about the earthly love of the Sun and about the fight between the planets, which enrages the deity so much that he parts the Sun from the Moon for ever so that they can never meet again in the sky. And he parts the Sun from the Maid, who in her sorrow turns into a tree. This is the World-tree, which, whenever touched by the first ray of sunshine in spring, bursts into flower. If you embrace the tree and put your ears on its trunk, you can hear the Maid singing her sad song. Technical requirements: 10x20 m open space, sound and lights (4x500W) |
