The river Danube has always had an important role in the life of the citizens. The unspoiled beauty of the river bank can still be found here.

This part of the river is a real fishing paradise. There are pike, catfish and zander in the river.

Besides fishing, there are many different thing for holiday-makers to do. The beautiful sandbanks and beaches are inviting to sun-lovers and watersport-fans can also have a fantastic time here.

During the summer festival in July visitors can enjoy folk-dancing, sports events, concerts and exhibitions of local embroidery (emvroidered clothes made by village woman). The highlight of the festival is the tug-of-war over the river between the village people from both sides of the Danube.
