Our Mission Today

NetAid is about all of us coming together to make a real difference. But NetAid will only work if we all share - our time, our resources, our good ideas - and do it collaboratively online and off. Please be a part of it.

For the first time in world history, ordinary people from around the world can log-on and communicate with each other to directly exchange ideas, resources and aspirations. NetAid's mission is to harness this power and use the Internet as a medium of social and economic change.

NetAid is not a one-day event. It is a long-term effort to build a community of conscience dedicated to providing basic needs: food, shelter, legal protection, human rights and health care. NetAid artists and sponsors will work to build this new community - long after today's concerts are over.

From today to New Year's 2000, we begin a campaign to focus new attention on those in need and build a virtual community committed to change.
