There are three incunabula. The earlyest one is Plinius, Naturalis Historiae that was printed in Venice in 1472.
Within our incunabula, mainly from 16-17 century, from some of them there is only one copy in Hungary. We keep them with good care.
Books from the 18 century are not computerized yet, from these there is one encyclopedia with 64 volume that was printed in Lipcse in the 1720’s that are mentioned as the first edition of the Grate French Encyclopedia edited by Diderot and D’Alembert.
Books from Baja’s Franciscan monastry, the Hadik-Barkóczy count, the Zichy, the Bethlen count first in the end of 1940 there were given to the Museum.
After the separation of this two institution these books got to the library.
