The First Australian
Festival of Russian Traditional and Experimental Literature
was hold in Sydney
(Australia) in November 2006. One of the Festival's focuses was
propagation and
developing of experimental literature, that is literature based on
formal
restriction, from medieval sextines to contemporary combinatorial
forms. Significant Russian poets and researchers of experimental
literature were
amongst the member of the judges, and one of the Festival's
participants became a
laureate for the cycle of tautogrammatic poems.
The Festival is continued as a regular activity, covered by the media.
